Congratulations Benjamin!

Ben had his graduation today from Preschool in the Woods. This was the end of four years for us as a family with Ms. Laurie, as well as her last year teaching preschool - so it was a big day!

Ben had lots of fans in the audience, including Grandpa Ben, Grammy, Great Grammy, Brianna, Tara, Aunt Cathy, and Nana and Grandpa. He was very proud to have so many people that love him come to celebrate with him. The graduation was adorable. The kids presented several songs, shared their ambitions (Ben wants to be a builder when he grows up), and were awarded their diplomas.

Another special part of the ceremony was the Fathers Day projects. Because preschool ends before Fathers Day, Ms. Laurie always shares the projects during graduation. It makes it extra special for all the dads.

Here is what Ben wrote about Adam:

My Dad by Ben

My dad's name is Adam, but I call him Daddy. He is thirty-four, I think. Thirty-four is old. He is strong and can pick me up. Sometimes he says he can't, but I know he can. He can also pick up a lot of wood. My favorite thing to do with my dad is to play video games. My favorite game to play with him is Ben 10. It's not a winning game. We both work together to fight the bad guys. When we went to Disney World, it was awesome! My dad really liked Space Mountain, but I did not. My dad works at Poland Spring. I don't know really know what he does there. I think I know though. I think he makes sure people are doing what they are supposed to do. He likes working there because he helps people. When he gets home from work, I'm sleeping. He still kisses us goodnight while we sleep. It doesn't wake us up. He does that because he loves us and he missed us. My dad likes music but he doesn't sing very good. He just doesn't have a good singing voice. I tell him he doesn't sound good, but it doesn't hurt his feelings. My dad is a good Daddy and when I get older I want to be a good Daddy just like him. He's a good Daddy because he always plays with me. I love my dad so much. I love him to Jupiter and around a billion zillion times and back again.

So sweet.

Afterwards, we had a little party back at our house with all the family who came to graduation - and we even had a few friends join us. Ben felt really special. He had a great day, and a really memorable weekend. It was busy - but so much fun!

Oh my -- that is one of the best "letters to dad" I have ever read, and he really captured the "essence" of Adam! haha
