What a Merry Christmas!

We've had a wonderful few days! We spent Christmas Eve evening at my mom's with my grandmother, Cathy, and my sisters. There were so many gifts and such fun visiting - it was fun for everyone.

Christmas Day we spent at home. We spent the morning in our pajamas and watched the kids open their gifts from us and explore what Santa brought them (a digital camera for Sophie and a huge Lego castle set for Ben). We had my dad and Catherine and my step-sister, Sarah, and her boyfriend over for Christmas dinner. It was nice to have holiday company at our house for a change. I enjoyed cooking the meal, and it was nice for the kids to be able to just stay put and check out all their new toys all day long.

Today we had a visit from Nana and Grandpa, and spent the rest of the day home playing together. It was a nice way to relax after the past few hectic weeks. The kids have both been so excited about everything, and so grateful. They're really enjoying everything about the holidays this year - of course they love the gifts, but they've really enjoyed all of the other tradtions, too, like driving around to see lights and having Christmas movie nights together. They've enjoyed the whole season, and it's so much fun to enjoy it with them, seeing it through their eyes. It seems like every year gets more fun, and this year was no exception.
