It's amazing to me that yet another year has passed, and it's time to sit and write to you on the night before your birthday. How is it possible that you are about to turn four years old? It seems like you should still by my tiny baby, just sleeping and snuggling all day long.
The past year has been full of changes for you. It has been gradual, but you have surely changed from a toddler to a genuine little boy. You keep up with your sister and all of the older friends you have, never missing a chance to be a part of the group. You got your first big boy bike this year, took your first independent dance class and swimming lessons, can write your name and several other words, and are such a great companion for all of my everyday activities.
The biggest change in your routine this year has been starting preschool. You love your class and have truly enjoyed making a group of friends all your own. From your teacher and classmates' parents, I have heard about how thoughtful and caring you are. It makes me so proud to know that you behave that way all on your own, without any prompting from your daddy or me. You are the same way at home with your sister, and I love watching the two of you together.
You are so bright, and have a great curiosity about the world. You like understanding why and how things work, and have a great memory for the subjects we explain.
And most of all, you are so full of love. Your smile is infectious, and that you care so much about others shines through in you every day. We are so lucky to have you in our family.
I love you so much.
Mama
