Goodbye Summer
Today was our last day of summer vacation. Tomorrow Sophia will be starting 2nd grade and Benjamin will be heading to Kindergarten. It's amazing how fast the summer flew by, but we really did make the most of it. We were busy nearly every day with some activity or other, and it was a wonderful summer.
Here are some of the highlights:
* Funtown/Splashtown season passes were a huge hit!
* Camping with friends
* Lots of play dates
* Sleepovers for the kids with Great Grammy, Grammy, Grandpa and Gigi, and the neighbors
* Spent the day in a canoe on the Saco River
* Several trips to the bowling alley
* A Day-Out with Thomas train ride in North Conway
* A day exploring the waterfalls at Diana's Baths with Brianna
* Trips to the ocean and playing in tide pools
* Story Land
* A week of Basketball Camp for both kids
* Mackworth Island
* A train ride birthday party for their cousin, Rigel
* LobsterFest with the Tanguay part of the family
* Swimming at Grammy's beach and jumping of the tall platforms over and over and over
* Fourth of July party with friends at their grandparents' pool
* Outdoor concerts in the park with Great Grammy
* The kids started karate lessons
* Lots of fun trips to the movies, for ice cream, and out to eat
There was just so much... we were always busy, and it was great. They are at such fun ages right now, and really excited to get out and have fun.
I'm sad to see them go back to school, because I will miss them and miss all of our uninterrupted time together. But I'm also really excited for them. They both love school and are excited about their new year. I look forward to hearing about everything new they are learning, and continuing our fun times together on the weekends!
