Birthday Bliss

Well, our little 5-year-old had a wonderful week of birthday celebrations. We started last Thursday with his friend birthday party at Maine Indoor Karting. We rented the Power Wheels party room, and Ben and his friends got to drive around like crazy people for two hours. They stopped briefly for pizza, cake and presents, and even a little mini-golf, but mostly it was all about the driving (and crashing). It was a really fun party to watch, the kids all seemed to have a great time, and Ben was just beside-himself thrilled with the whole night.

Friday was a no-school day, so we spent most of the day at home playing with new toys. Saturday was a surprise birthday party for Adam's mom, so it was another night of partying for all of us. Then on Sunday we had family over for cake and ice cream to celebrate Ben's birthday. And finally on Monday, his actual birthday, we brought cupcakes to preschool for Ben to celebrate with his classmates. Adam and I picked him up and brought him out to lunch before Adam headed to work, and then we had a little cake at home for him that night.

He has been very spoiled - both with wonderful gifts and SO much love and attention. There are lots of people who care about this little guy, and he had so much fun spending his birthday with so many of them.
