Basketball

Sophie has been playing basketball for about a month now. She was thrilled to sign up for the team this year, and so far she is really loving it. She's one of just two girls on her team, and the boys have all clearly played before, so it's an interesting dynamic. She doesn't seem bothered at all that her skill level isn't quite up to par with the more experienced players - she just says that she wants to keep practicing and get better. Most importantly, she's having a lot of fun. The practices and games are a lot of fun to watch. Even Ben has a friend from preschool to play with, since his older brother is on Sophie's team. The team has played four games so far, and they've won two. The game schedule goes through the middle of December, and they have five games left. Sophie is already sad that it's going to be over so soon... I think this is a sport she'll definitely want to play again next year.
