We had our first snowfall of the season last night and the kids spent the day bouncing between fall and winter activities today. When they first woke up, they wanted to run right out and play in the snow. After they came in and had breakfast, we carved our pumpkins and roasted pumpkin seeds. After that, we went back out to shovel and make a snowman. Of course, the snowman needed a Halloween costume, so we got him a mask, wig, and a tie to wear. We even made a little snow-pumpkin patch that they kids sprayed with water mixed with orange food coloring. It looked pretty cute when they were finished. Then when it was time to come in and warm up, we made some Halloween sugar cookies. It was a very weird mixing of seasons, but it was a fun day.
