Week with Grandpa

This week my dad was visiting while he recovered from heart surgery. The kids were thrilled to have someone staying at the house for sleepovers, but because Grandpa Ben lives the farthest of the grandparents, I think they were especially happy to get all of the extra time to spend with him. They went straight to tell him about their day when they got home from school, and they liked hanging out and watching movies with him. He taught them how to play solitaire and they thought it was very cool that they were learning a grown-up game. We had nice dinners together each night, and they really enjoyed having Grandpa around for their day to day routine for a little while. They were sad when he was ready to go home, particularly Sophie who had missed more time than Ben because she spends more time at school. I think they got a little spoiled having him around, and I can tell they'll be asking for more visits soon!
