We had a first for our family today and spent the day canoeing on the Saco River. We had friends who did it with their girls last year, and this year they invited us to go with them. Sophie and Ben both love the water and have asked about going in a boat, so this seemed like a perfect trip for us. We packed snacks and a lunch, rented a canoe, and set out with our friends this morning. We spent pretty much the whole day on the water. We stopped at several beaches to let the kids explore and swim, and kept a really leisurely pace all day. All of the kids (Sophie and Ben, and their friends Bella and Abby) and played so well together and everyone had fun. I'm so glad we went, and I can definitely see us going again next year!
