We finally made it! We had the rest of Adam's vacation already booked with plans, so we decided to take a trip up yesterday. The forecast looked like it might be a little on the hot, sticky side - but we actually ended up with perfect weather. It was hot, but there was a nice, steady breeze that kept things comfortable. We had fun cooling off on the log flume and other fountain areas they have throughout the park. I don't know that we could have asked for a nicer day.
The kids had a ball, as usual. They even managed to keep themselves from getting too overwhelmed and overtired, and we stopped for a nice restaurant dinner on the way home. We've never dared to do that before! The kids are already saying that they want to go back... maybe we'll make it another two-trip year and try for another day in the fall before they close for the season.
