Dentist appointment

Sophie and Ben had dentist appointments this morning, and they were both so excited to go.

Sophie went first to show Ben the ropes, since this was his first time. She did great. The hygienist examined and cleaned her teeth and said she was doing a great job keeping them clean. She also noted that Sophie's six-year molars on the bottom have started to poke through. The dentist came in for a peak and checked out Sophie's shark teeth situation. He didn't think anything was problematic and just told Sophie that her job for now is to make sure she gets that second loose tooth out. It's amazing to see that the adult tooth behind the one she just lost has actually already moved forward a bit and isn't lined up with the other adult tooth anymore - it shows how quickly they'll both be able to move once that second one is out, too.

When it was Ben's turn, he jumped right up into the seat and did everything just as he was asked. He answered all the questions and served as the helper with "Mr. Thirsty" while he was getting his teeth cleaned. The dentist checked his teeth over quickly, too, and said that they look great and that he's been doing a good job brushing. I was so proud of him sitting there like such a big boy!
