Sophie had her annual doctor's appointment this afternoon. She did a great job and I was proud of how polite she was with everyone. She now weighs 48 pounds and is 46 inches tall - that puts her in the 90th percentile for weight and the 95th percentile for height. The doctor assured us that she is nice and healthy and very smart. Of course, this was no surprise - we know all of that already!
She did need five shots, though, to prepare her for Kindergarten. Poor girl wasn't expecting that many, but honestly I think she was a little excited to prove her bravery. She has always done really well with shots, and it was no different this time. She even watched as the nurse administered them all. She's tougher than me, that's for sure! (Afterward I told her the story about when I had to sign up for Kindergarten - which was basically me jumping up, running out the door, and down a flight of stairs before they could catch me to give me the shots... Sophie thought that was pretty hilarious.)
And now, with the shots out of the way, Sophie is all set for Kindergarten registration!
