Sophie asked earlier in the summer to have the training wheels taken off her bike. It lasted for about a half hour before she was too frustrated and asked for them to be put back on. I figured she wouldn't be ready until next summer. So when she asked again a couple of days ago, I expected the same thing to happen. Instead, she did a lot better and could get through a couple of revolutions before losing her balance. We didn't get much time that evening to work at it, but she wanted the training wheels left off. Yesterday afternoon she tried it again and was really getting the hang of it! She would make it the entire length of the yard, even making a couple of successful turns. She headed right back out this morning, and sure enough - she's got it now!

No more training wheels!
