Sophie and Ben both started swimming lessons yesterday... and in just two days it's been so awesome to watch how much more comfortable they are! It wasn't until the end of the two weeks that Sophie was willing to jump in without holding the instructor's hand last year. Now she's jumping right in with no problem. And Ben, who didn't have lessons at all last year, is doing the same thing. He loves it. You can see him literally shaking with excitement every time they have to stand in line waiting to jump. He does so well listening and does everything the teacher asks him.
I don't think either of them will be swimming by the end of the session, but the confidence and comfort they are gaining will help so much in building their skills on our own over the summer. They're both very proud of their progress and can't wait to learn more. We're going to have fun at the lake this year, for sure!
