Happy Easter!

We had a lovely day. The weather was incredible, and unusual for Easter in Maine. I always chuckle about all of the cute Easter dresses they sell in the stores at this time of year, knowing that the little girls around here need knit tights and coats to be able to wear them - but this year Sophie was running around in her little sundress, not even needing the sweater I'd gotten to go with it.

We started out with the kiddos searching for the eggs the Easter Bunny had hidden here at home. They both had a great time, giggling the whole way. Sophie, especially, was just giddy during the entire experience. After some breakfast, we got dressed and ready for Nana and Grandpa's house. We did another egg hunt in their yard, visited, and all of the cousins enjoyed playing together. We had a tasty lunch together, then headed to my mom's house. Easter happened to fall during the week of my grandmother's and aunt's birthdays, so we did a joint holiday and birthday celebration with them.

The kids loved playing in the fresh, warm air all day and were completely filthy by the time we headed home - but they had a great day. We all did.
